Investors got a disappointing Christmas gift as equity markets declined for a second consecutive week. The S&P 500 was down 1% week over week as of the Thursday, December 24th close. The Russell 2K Small Cap index, however, continued to buck the trend and rose 1.4% largely on the strength of the banking sector.
Markets seem poised for strong gains in the upcoming week spurred by the long overdue COVID19 Relief bill which President Trump signed into law Sunday evening (December 27, 2020).
